The Collegiate Academy’s objective is threefold. First, the academy aims to spread awareness of the FBI’s mission, goals, history, and internal workings while providing students the unique opportunity to ask questions and engage in candid discussions with law enforcement. Secondly, the academy provides an opportunity for law enforcement, specifically the FBI, to provide insight and knowledge on the how and why pertaining to actions taken by law enforcement, presenting a platform to dispel inaccuracies or misconceptions. Finally, the program provides an opportunity to introduce students to the FBI and bring awareness regarding future career opportunities.
The program is conducted on campus at an area college or university. The program, per policy, should provide a minimum of 12 hours of instructions taught by FBI subject matter experts and others as deemed appropriate. The program is open to students who attend the college or university.
