Meet the SAC. A social function allowing the CAAA members to meet the SAC and other members of the Houston Field Office.

February:

Educational Meeting on Hate Crimes. In honor of Black History Month, we will focus on Civil Rights with an FBI agent as the featured speaker educating members on the extent of civil rights violations in the Houston jurisdiction.

March:

Public Service Announcement (PSA) contest on Threats to Life. For the past several years, the CAAA has sponsored a PSA contest. Local high schools are encouraged create PSA videos. The videos are judged and prizes awarded to the top students and schools. This years’ topic is Threats to Life.

April:

Range Day. FBI range day in Conroe offered to Lifetime Members and guest.

May:

Presentation on Houston FBI and local Law Enforcement Cooperation. In honor of Police Week (May 14-20, 2023), an FBI and a local Law Enforcement speaker(s) will discuss the FBIs cooperation with federal, state and local law enforcement. FBI priorities:

June:

Presentation on Violent Crimes/Crime Prevention. We will invite a Special Agent or FBI employee that maintains the crime statistics to discuss local or national criminal activity or crime trends. A local law enforcement crime prevention officer may also be utilized.

July:

Presentation on Public Corruption or the 9/11 terrorist attack (depending on speaker availability).

August:

Presentation on International or Domestic Terrorism.

September:

Elder Fraud Panel Discussion with US Attorney’s Office, Postal Inspectors, IRS, etc. A panel discussion will be sponsored by the CAAA and marketed to vulnerable seniors.

October:

Presentation on Cyber Crime during Cyber Crime Awareness Month. The presentation will possibly include the showing of an FBI film and a representative of Infragard.

November:

Breakfast Meeting for Lifetime members. In honor of Child Safety Month, presenters will be invited from Child Advocates, CPS, a Family Court Judge or the advocacy group.

December:

Holiday Party/Open House.
