FBI Houston Citizens Academy Alumni Association
The T.H. Rogers School in Houston’s Galleria area was presented with the FBI Safe Online Surfing (SOS) Internet Challenge’s national award for April 2019. Under the guidance of Technology Applications Teacher Thomas Wilson, T.H. Rogers students posted a 95.41, the best cumulative score in the country in the Stingray category.
On May 23, 2019 FBI Supervisory Special Agent Brian Grehoski and Community Outreach Specialist Sandra Gartrell visited T.H. Rogers School to congratulate the 82 participating students and present them with a certificate commemorating their national achievement. The students were also treated to a celebratory ice cream party courtesy of the FBI Houston Citizens Academy Alumni Association.
FBI-SOS is a free initiative designed to educate third through eighth grade students about cyber safety. All public, private, and home schools are eligible to participate in this entertaining and educational web-based program, which can be accessed year-round—in the classroom or at home via https://sos.fbi.gov.
The FBI Houston Citizens Academy Alumni Association is a nonprofit organization separate and apart from the FBI.
